Nomada Chania 2

We had a perfect stay in this apartment. It’s just a 10-minute walk from the beach, and the center of Chania Old Town is also nearby. The apartment matched the pictures exactly, and we honestly have nothing negative to say about it. A few suggestions for the future: it might be useful to have a vacuum cleaner, especially for longer stays, to keep the floors sand-free. Some additional kitchen equipment, like extra pans, could also be helpful. At the start of our stay, we had a small issue with the shower, but the Nomada Chania team resolved it quickly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and with a few extra touches, it could be even better.

Positive: The apartment has been recently renovated and it shows. The decorations are very nice, looks modern and is clean. The location is also very good, just a short walk to either the beach or the old town center. Finding a bus stop is easy as well and there are plenty of supermarkets around. Negative: While the staff is friendly, we did run into a few issues during our stay such as no (warm) water. They were resolved but we felt we had to constantly ask for updates or request them to take action. On the day of the earthquake we didn't get a message from the staff until we messaged them to ask if there was no water because of that or construction nearby. I think being more proactive and informing your guests about these events and reassuring them in the case of an earthquake would go a long way. The apartment has a very nice screen door on the balcony, but it is noisy if you leave the balcony door open so it's best to close it. It's a residential neighborhood so not overly active, but there are schools nearby, construction and also just general sounds from the neighbors can be heard quite clearly with the door open. Luckily there's airconditioning as well as a ceiling fan so on warm nights these can be used. One other small thing is that there is only one set of keys for the apartment and the card that controls the electricity so leaving things to charge while you're out is not possible. And if we are really nitpicky then we should also mention that the stairs could do with some bannisters. One slip and you could find yourself in a nasty fall.
